
ABOUT CRAIG
Based in Gretna Green and the surrounding area, Craig also travels nationally - and internationally - to play at weddings and many other special events. Craig has been featured on TV, in magazines and local newspapers and was named Best Piper by the Scottish Confetti Wedding Awards in 2020 and 2023.
Craig is a member of the College of Piping and was Pipe Major of the Burgh of Langholm Pipe Band for 17 years. In addition to being a “piper for hire,” Craig participates in several charity events, donates playing time to local youth organisations’ fundraising efforts, taught in a local school, and provided half-time entertainment for Gretna F.C.

Craig was the Pipe Major of the Burgh of Langholm Pipe Band for 17 years until 2022. The band plays at several events throughout the year including charity events and an annual concert.

Craig marched Langholm Pipe Band to victory at the 2009 Braemar Royal Highland Gathering where they were declared the best pipe band. The Queen, who was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles, presented Craig with the winner's shield. Click to watch a clip of the band playing in the overseas tent.

Craig and his wife, Bev, at the 2023 Scottish Wedding Confetti Awards Ceremony in Glasgow where Craig was presented with the Best Piper Award. Craig received the same honour in 2020.

Always trying to improve his playing and what he can offer his customers, Craig is keen to learn new music--for himself or by request.

Craig was invited to represent Scotland at a cultural exhibition in South Korea. He played at the event's Opening Ceremony.
